Made from 100% organic Grenache sourced from the dry-farmed Poor Ranch in Hopland, this wine undergoes carbonic maceration followed by fermentation in raw oak barrels for a year. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulfites, XXP showcases a full-bodied yet lively character, with a deep, dark hue and a juicy bounce reminiscent of lighter reds like Pinot or Gamay. Its flavor profile bursts with red fruit notes—think cherry and strawberry—layered with hints of baking spice, oak, and a subtle earthiness. At 14.5% ABV, it’s surprisingly drinkable, sometimes revealing a slight effervescence due to residual sugar, which dissipates if left open.
