The ASHKAHN Wines Avila Pinot Noir is an elegant, low-intervention red wine crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes sourced from the organically farmed Bassi Vineyard in the San Luis Obispo Coast, California. Produced by artist-winemaker Ashkahn Shahparnia, this wine reflects his minimalist, artistic approach, utilizing native yeast and neutral oak aging to highlight the grape’s purity and terroir. As a zero-zero wine (no added sulfur or filtration), it offers an unfiltered, authentic expression of the coastal vineyard.
This Pinot Noir displays a translucent ruby hue with aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry, and rose petals, accented by hints of forest floor and subtle spice. On the palate, it’s silky and refined, with bright red fruit, delicate tannins, and a touch of minerality, finishing with crisp acidity.
