ATILIA Montepulciano d'Abruzzo '22 is a vibrant, everyday Italian red from Cantina Jasci in Abruzzo, Italy. It's a certified organic, approachable Montepulciano that delivers classic regional character in a supremely drinkable package.
The Atilia '22 perfectly captures the soul of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo: dark fruit, herbal savoriness, and food-friendly acidity, all wrapped in an organic, no-fuss package that over-delivers for the price.
100% Montepulciano from 15–20+ year-old vines trained in the traditional Abruzzese trellising method. The vineyards are certified organic, with sustainable and vegan-friendly practices.
The 2022 vintage is made with minimal intervention: native yeast fermentation, low or minimal SO₂, and gentle handling to preserve freshness and fruit purity. The result is a medium-bodied red with lively energy, soft-yet-present tannins, and bright acidity that makes it dangerously easy to crush.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass with purple reflections. On the nose and palate: rich, bright plum, black cherry, and red currants with savory undertones of dried herbs, white pepper, cocoa, and a touch of earthy leather. It has a tangy, mature edge with good structure, subtle spice, and a lip-smacking finish that balances juicy fruit with a hint of dark chocolate.
It's not overly heavy or extracted — think fresh, herbaceous, and fruit-forward with enough backbone to feel like a “real” Italian red.
