Biddizza Skin Contact Orange 2024 is Sicilian beauty bottled — literally. “Biddizza” means “beauty” in the warm local dialect, and this glowing amber stunner from the O.R.A. Collective (often labeled under Abbondanza) delivers it in every sip.

Sourced from certified-organic vineyards in the chalky limestone hills of central Sicily (around Alcamo, between Palermo and Trapani), this vibrant orange wine is 90% Catarratto and 10% Zibibbo. Hand-picked grapes see about 15 days of skin contact, fermented naturally with native yeasts in stainless steel — no fining, no filtering, zero makeup. The result is pure island sunshine with texture and soul but none of the heaviness.

In the glass it shines a radiant golden-amber. The nose is an aromatic explosion: ripe peach, juicy mandarin, orange peel, fresh fennel bulb, apricot jam, and a whisper of wild Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it’s medium-bodied yet supremely gluggable — plush stone fruit wrapped in soft peachy tannins, electric brightness, zesty citrus, a savory herbal edge, and a long, dry, slightly saline finish that tastes like sea breeze and Sicilian soil.
