DE LEVANDE Cortez '25 is a vibrant, textured skin-contact orange wine from the De Levende project — a joyful California natural wine collaboration focused on pure, living expressions with friends in the vineyards and cellar.

This vintage is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Muscat from organically farmed vineyards in Mendocino and Sonoma counties. The grapes see a 12-day skin maceration, spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, and are bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with no added sulfites. The result is an amber-gold wine with beautiful haze, gentle tannin grip, and energetic freshness (around 13% ABV).

Tasting Notes

It bursts with mandarin, dried apricot, white peach, orange blossom, and bright citrus zest on the nose. The palate is dry and medium-bodied, delivering juicy tropical fruit, citrus honey, and a distinctive mineral edge, all framed by lively acidity and soft, structured tannins. Think sunny, aromatic, and fun — with that classic “electric peach juice” energy that makes orange wines so addictive.
