Seven Springs Vineyard (self-rooted 1984 plantings), Eola-Amity Hills AVA, Willamette Valley, Oregon
100 % Pinot Noir · Organic & biodynamic · ~30 % whole cluster · Native yeast · 14 months in French oak (15 % new)
The coolest, most “Burgundian” vintage Evening Land has seen at Seven Springs in over a decade. A long, slow, wet-then-dry season delivered tiny berries, electric acidity, and translucent colour.Tasting note
Brilliant ruby-garnet. High-toned and precise: wild strawberry, Morello cherry, pomegranate, rose petal, blood orange zest, and crushed wet stone. The palate is light-to-medium-bodied (13.1 % alc), silky and tense, with ultra-fine tannins and a saline, mineral spine that drives the fruit for minutes. Whole-cluster spices (cinnamon, pink peppercorn) dance in the background without ever dominating. Think Grand Cru Volnay meets top-flight Dundee Hills, with Oregon’s unmistakable lift.
