GISMONDI Pietre '24 is a vibrant, skin-contact white from Antonio Gismondi in Cerreto Sannita, Campania, Italy — a rising star in the natural wine scene.

This is a 50/50 blend of Malvasia di Candia and Falanghina from organic vines planted on rocky limestone and clay soils over volcanic subsoil at around 400 meters altitude. The grapes undergo a short 5–6 day maceration on skins, giving the wine beautiful texture and a hazy, warm golden hue. It’s fermented and aged in stainless steel, then bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with zero additions — pure, living, and true to the territory.

Tasting Notes

It bursts with salty lemon, grapefruit, and peach notes, bright Mediterranean herbs, a touch of stone fruit flesh, and a distinctive volcanic mineral edge with subtle floral aromatics from the Malvasia. Light-to-medium bodied, it offers grippy yet fine tannins, mouthwatering acidity, and a long, refreshing, briny finish. Around 11–12% alcohol, it’s incredibly drinkable yet layered — think textured white that behaves like an orange wine but stays fresh and elegant.

This is mountain-fresh Campania in a glass: sunny, savory, and full of energy.
