J. Mourat Collection Blanc '23 is a crisp, vibrant, and elegantly mineral white from the coastal Fiefs Vendéens Mareuil appellation in France’s southern Loire Valley (Vendée).

Crafted by the Mourat family, this is their flagship “Collection” cuvée — a contemporary, fruit-pure blend designed for everyday elegance while still expressing the unique maritime terroir. It’s made from a harmonious 50/50 blend of Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay sourced from organically farmed vines around 20 years old, planted on volcanic rhyolite, schist, and clay soils kissed by Atlantic sea breezes.

In the glass it shows a bright pale-gold hue with greenish reflections. The nose is fresh and aromatic: green apple, ripe pear, zesty citrus (lemon and grapefruit), delicate white flowers, and a subtle lanolin note with wet-stone minerality. On the palate it’s medium-bodied, lively, and precise — layers of juicy orchard fruit and white peach, framed by vibrant Chenin-driven acidity, a touch of roundness from the Chardonnay, and a clean, saline, mineral-edged finish that lingers beautifully.
