From the joyful collaboration between longtime friends Fabien Jouves (Mas del Périé) and the Croisille brothers (Germain & Simon) in Cahors, Southwest France. Two families united by their passion for organic and biodynamic farming, this ‘Pur Jus’ (literally “pure juice”) project is all about vibrant, no-compromise natural wines that let the terroir and fruit speak freely.
A skin-contact orange wine from a white blend of 35% Gros Manseng, 35% Colombard, 10% Muscat d’Alexandrie, 10% Ugni Blanc and 10% Sauvignon Blanc, grown on clay-and-sand soils. Hand-harvested grapes undergo a gentle 3-week maceration on the skins, native-yeast fermentation, then rest unfined and unfiltered — pure energy in a bottle.
The 2024 vintage glows a hazy golden-amber. The nose is fragrant and inviting: ripe peach, orange blossom, chamomile tea, jasmine and wild Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it is medium-bodied and textural, juicy and fresh with vibrant acidity, gentle tannic grip, flavors of apricot, yellow apple, pineapple skin, lemon zest and a long, saline, mineral-driven finish.
