La Bastide Blanche Bandol Rosé 2025
From one of Bandol’s most respected estates, this is a classic, Mourvèdre-driven rosé that sits at the more serious end of the Provençal spectrum. La Bastide Blanche’s rosé typically features a healthy majority of Mourvèdre (often 50%+), complemented by Cinsault and Grenache, giving it greater structure, depth, and aging potential than lighter Côtes de Provence styles.
The 2025 vintage shows a deeper salmon-pink hue and an expressive, layered nose of ripe red cherry, blood orange, pomegranate, rose petal, and subtle spice. On the palate it’s full-bodied for a rosé — dry, textured, and savory, with bright acidity, red berry fruit, salty mineral notes, and a long, fresh finish. The Mourvèdre brings backbone and herbal complexity while Cinsault and Grenache keep it lively and fragrant.
