DOMAINE de la Petite Soeur Globule Red is a dynamic, natural red wine crafted by Adrien de Mello at his biodynamic estate in Saint-Aubin-de-Luigné, Anjou, in France’s Loire Valley. This cuvée is a blend of 70% Cabernet Franc and 30% Grolleau, sourced from 30- to 45-year-old vines grown on schist and clay soils. The grapes undergo a semi-carbonic maceration followed by fermentation and a brief élevage in stainless steel, with no added sulfites, fining, or filtration, resulting in a pure, unadulterated expression of the terroir. Globule Red pours a deep ruby hue and offers a lively bouquet of blackberry, red currant, and violet, with subtle earthy and spicy undertones. On the palate, it’s fresh and juicy with fine tannins, bright acidity, and a mineral-driven finish, clocking in at around 12% ABV. This light-to-medium-bodied wine is versatile and food-friendly, pairing wonderfully with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or aged cheeses, while its natural vibrancy makes it equally enjoyable on its own.
