80% Zinfandel | 20% Petite Sirah · Organic, dry-farmed old vines · Carbonic maceration · Minimal SO₂ · 13.5% alcThe first red of the vintage – Las Jaras' playful nod to Beaujolais Nouveau, but with California's wild Zinfandel twist. Hand-harvested August 26–September 8 from high-elevation, dry-farmed sites, this 2025 is mega-fresh and layered: whole-cluster carbonic maceration for 10 days at cool temps, followed by gentle pump-overs, light pressing, and separate fermentation to build intrigue without heaviness. A portion of proceeds supports La Luz Center for community empowerment.
Vibrant magenta-ruby glow. Nose explodes with raspberry, marionberry, blackberry, red plum, and cocoa powder. The palate is juicy and electric: gobs of chocolate-covered cherry, boysenberry, and pomegranate, balanced by zippy acidity, silky light tannins, and a cocoa-dusted finish that keeps it endlessly sippable. Zero hard edges – pure, vibrant joy.
