Marc Delienne left a career in Paris to follow his passion for wine, training at Domaine de Trévallon before purchasing his estate in Fleurie in 2015. He farms organically and biodynamically across granite soils with old vines, working with minimal intervention and very low sulfur.

“Maurice” is a heartfelt tribute to the previous owner who welcomed him to the village. The fruit comes from the Chaffangeons vineyard (within Fleurie), but is bottled as Beaujolais AOC — giving you serious old-vine quality and texture at a more approachable price. It’s the domaine’s best-value cuvée and a wonderful window into Delienne’s precise, expressive style.

The 2023 vintage in Beaujolais delivered purity, perfume, and excellent balance. Expect a generous, juicy Gamay with ripe red and dark berry fruit (cherry, raspberry, strawberry), warm spice, subtle mineral depth, and a lively, textured finish. Medium-plus in body with fine tannins and refreshing acidity — it drinks beautifully now but has the structure to develop.
