The Pira Barolo Serralunga d'Alba 2021 is a quintessential Barolo from the renowned Piedmont region of Italy, crafted by the Luigi Pira winery in the commune of Serralunga d'Alba using 100% Nebbiolo grapes. This 2021 vintage displays a garnet red hue with subtle orange reflections, embodying the structured and elegant style typical of Serralunga terroir. On the nose, it unfolds with a complex, classic profile of leather, hay, dried earth, baking spices, wild berries, sweet tobacco, and intriguing balsamic notes, delivering great freshness and nuance. The palate is vivid and understated, featuring red cherry, rose petal, and dried herbs, underpinned by firm tannins, vibrant acidity, and layers of dark-toned fruit, gravel, incense, sage, menthol, and licorice.
