Raïmones Engrescada Orange 2024 is a captivating skin-contact white (orange wine) from Catalonia's Penedès region in Spain, produced by Raïmones—a collaborative project of the younger generation from three historic neighboring wine families. Focused on natural practices and reviving indigenous varieties like the rare Marina grape, this bottling highlights organic farming and minimal-intervention winemaking to express vibrant, pure terroir.The 2024 vintage blends Marina, Muscat, and Xarel·lo from dry-farmed vines. Hand-harvested and destemmed, the grapes are vinified separately in stainless steel: Marina and Muscat undergo 30 days of skin maceration for texture, aromatics, and subtle tannic grip, while Xarel·lo is direct-pressed. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, no additives beyond minimal sulfur—completely dry, fresh acidity, and light alcohol around 12.5% ABV.Amber-orange in hue, it bursts with zesty aromas of peach, pear, tangerine, stone fruit, jasmine, yellow flowers, and crushed pineapple, laced with herbal saltiness and subtle spice. The palate is light-bodied yet textured: crisp and refreshing with citrusy vibrancy, apple notes, saline minerality, and a lightly grippy, mouthwatering finish that's super dry and energetic.
