Raïmones Engrescada White Pet-Nat 2023 is a lively, natural pétillant-naturel sparkling white from Catalonia's Penedès region in Spain, crafted by Raïmones—the dynamic collaboration of the younger generation from three historic neighboring wine families (including influences from Celler La Salada, RR Sadurní, and Mas Candí). Dedicated to organic, dry-farmed vineyards and low-intervention methods, this bottling revives local indigenous varieties to deliver fresh, funky, and terroir-expressive fizz.The 2023 vintage features Marina (a rare native Penedès grape) and Pansa Blanca (also known as Xarel·lo), hand-harvested from their 10ha plot. Made in the ancestral method: primary fermentation begins in tank with native yeasts, then the wine is bottled mid-fermentation to trap natural CO2—no dosage, no added sugars, minimal sulfur (typically low or trace amounts). Completely dry, with refreshing effervescence and alcohol around 12–12.5% ABV.Pale straw to lightly hazy in the glass with fine, energetic bubbles, it bursts with crisp aromas of pineapple, citrus zest (lemon, grapefruit), green apple, white flowers, and stony minerality, accented by subtle saline notes and a hint of sea breeze or herbal freshness. The palate is vibrant and crushable: zesty orchard fruit, bright acidity, a touch of Mediterranean salinity, and a dry, mineral-driven finish—light-bodied, funky in the best way, and super refreshing.
