"Ruth Lewandowski Elimelech is an expressive, naturally made Riesling from the tiny Cole Ranch AVA, nestled high in the hills between Ukiah and Boonville in Mendocino County, California. Crafted by winemaker Evan Lewandowski, this wine hails from organic, 50+-year-old vines rooted in limestone-based loam soils at 425 meters elevation. Hand-harvested and whole-cluster pressed, it undergoes spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and full malolactic conversion, aging 10 months on lees without fining, filtration, or added sulfur in its 'Cuvée Zero' form. The result is a dry, flamboyant Riesling that defies convention—richly textured with intoxicating aromas of grilled pineapple, lime zest, and gingerbread, layered with fleshy tropical fruit and a mineral lift.
