STAGIAIRE Consistency In Chaos

Originally farmed by David Rothschild and now stewarded by Shaunt and Diego of Les Lunes. Organic farming with regenerative practices. Planted by Phil Coturri in the 90s at the upper end of the Carneros region of Sonoma Valley.This was probably the most pristine fruit to come into the cellar in 2023 and seemed more like dark black bunches of caviar rather than grapes. One lot was 50/50 whole clusters with direct pressed juice left to infuse for 3 weeks. The other, smaller, lot was 5-6 weeks of whole cluster/carbonic maceration. 

To be frank… this wine fucking whips. Bradford of Ordinaire said it was like Dard et Ribo. Josh from Percy selections said it was better than Dard et Ribo. But I feel like its an even more ethereal than D&Rs winemaking style.

Blackberry pie, saucisson, mortadella, mint/sage/coyote brush. So much going on. You keep drinking and digging, and before you notice, its gone.
