VIGNERONS D'ESTAZARGUES "Alma Vista" '23

Vignerons d’Estézargues “Alma Viva” Pét-Nat Brut Nature Orange 2023 is the debut sparkling wine from the pioneering natural-wine cooperative Les Vignerons d’Estézargues in the village of Estézargues (Gard), Southern Rhône Valley, France.

This certified-organic orange pétillant naturel is crafted from a classic white Rhône blend — Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Roussanne, and Viognier — grown on red clay soils dotted with galets (rounded river stones) from vines averaging 25 years old.

It is vinified using the ancestral method (Méthode Ancestrale / Pétillant Naturel – Pét-Nat): the grapes are fermented with indigenous yeasts only, and the wine is bottled while fermentation is still active. Fermentation finishes naturally in the bottle, trapping its own CO₂ for lively bubbles. Partial skin contact gives the wine its striking color and texture, with zero added dosage — a true Brut Nature (0 g/L residual sugar).

It pours a beautiful, vibrant orange hue with fine, energetic bubbles. Aromatically expressive and delicately textured, it shows crisp floral citrus notes — orange blossom, fresh lemon, pink grapefruit, and white peach — balanced by gentle spice, subtle herbaceous lift, and a touch of dried apricot.

On the palate, it is fresh, playful, and beautifully balanced at 12.5% alcohol: juicy citrus and stone fruit, a light herbal edge, fine mousse, and a clean, mineral-tinged finish that is supremely refreshing and texturally layered.
