Grrrr!!! 2022 is an intense, character-driven Pinot Noir from Yannick Meckert, crafted in Alsace, France. Sourced from a blend of estate and négoce grapes grown on diverse soils—schist, sandstone, clay, and sedimentary—this wine breaks from Yannick’s usual terroir-specific approach. With a 13% ABV, it’s vinified with one week of whole-bunch maceration in open vats, followed by daily punch-downs for another week, then aged in neutral Burgundy barrels. Unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulfur, it boasts a deep color and rich tannins, with vibrant cherry, cranberry, and raspberry notes, accented by a signature touch of volatility. Decant to soften the tannins and serve at 14–16°C for a bold, juicy experience that pairs well with poultry, red meat, or spicy dishes.
